Booking and paying
How do I book a MyCourse driver?
By phone 24/7 on +33 7 66 48 89 38, through the quote form on the site for a group, a return trip or a driver at your disposal, or in the MyCourse app for your regular journeys. In every case, the fare is given to you before the ride.
Is the fare known before the ride?
Yes, always. It is an obligation of the VTC licence (the French licensed private-hire status): the fare is set before departure and does not change afterwards, whatever the traffic.
How do I pay?
By card online, in the app or with the driver, by bank transfer for accepted quotes, or in cash if agreed when booking. An invoice is provided on request.
What are the cancellation terms?
Free of charge up to 48 hours before for a simple transfer, up to 72 hours before for a business, a group, a wedding, an event or a driver at your disposal. The details are in our terms and conditions (in French) and on your quote.
Are you a taxi?
No. MyCourse is a private chauffeur service: booked in advance, fare set before the ride, driver in a suit. An alternative to a taxi for the journeys that matter.
Station and airport
What happens if my train or flight is delayed?
The driver tracks the actual arrival time. He is there when you arrive, and the waiting caused by the carrier's delay is not charged to you.
Where does the driver wait for me at La Rochelle station?
At the station exit, on the forecourt side. He sends you a text message when he arrives with the exact meeting point and the vehicle.
Can you pick me up at Nantes or Bordeaux airport?
Yes, regularly. Give us your flight number, the driver waits for you at the terminal exit and takes you back to La Rochelle or Île de Ré. The fare is given before departure.
How much luggage can you take?
A saloon car takes the luggage of 2 to 3 people. For a family or bulky luggage, the 8-seat van with its large boot is recommended: tell us when you book.
Do I need to book in advance?
For a transfer at a precise time, yes, ideally as soon as your tickets are booked. For an immediate departure, call: bookings are open 24/7.
Can you drive me to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport?
Yes, on quote. The journey is made in a Tesla or a van, by day or by night depending on your flight, with drop-off at the terminal. The fare is set before departure.
Île de Ré
Do you serve every village on Île de Ré?
Yes, all ten: Rivedoux-Plage, Sainte-Marie, La Flotte, Saint-Martin, Le Bois-Plage, La Couarde, Loix, Ars-en-Ré, Saint-Clément-des-Baleines and Les Portes-en-Ré. Drop-off outside the rental, the hotel or the campsite.
How long between La Rochelle station and the island?
From 25 minutes for Rivedoux to about an hour for Les Portes, outside the high season. In summer, allow more time and book early.
Do you do journeys between two villages on the island?
Yes, for a dinner, a visit or a day out. These journeys are organised from La Rochelle, as the driver is not based on the island.
Is the bridge toll included?
Yes. The fare given before departure covers the whole journey.
Families, groups and weddings
What is the maximum number of passengers in a van?
7 in the Mercedes V-Class, 8 in the Mercedes Vito Tourer, not counting the driver. Beyond that, several vans are coordinated.
Does the luggage of 8 people fit?
Yes. In the Vito as in the V-Class, allow about one suitcase per person, plus small bags at your feet. For bulky luggage, bikes or equipment, tell us when you book: we adapt the vehicle or add a van.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request when booking. State the children's ages.
Do you run minibuses or coaches?
No. For large groups, we set up several vans with drivers that leave and arrive together, up to 18 vehicles on a single day.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as the date and the venue are known, especially between May and September when vans are in high demand on Saturdays. The detailed schedule can be fine-tuned up to the week before.
How many guests can you transport?
Each van takes 7 or 8 guests. For a hundred or so guests, several vans rotate between the accommodation and the reception venue according to a schedule drawn up with you. Up to 18 vehicles have already been put on the road in a single day.
Do you handle late-night returns?
Yes, that is the bulk of the demand. Returns are planned in the quote, in waves, until the agreed time.
Long distance and Europe
Does the fare depend on traffic or duration?
No. The fare is set before departure according to the route, the time and the vehicle. It does not change afterwards, unless you alter the journey.
How far do you go?
Anywhere in France on quote. The most frequent journeys are Bordeaux, Nantes, Poitiers, Niort and Paris. For destinations abroad, request a quote.
Can you wait for me and bring me back?
Yes. For a same-day return trip, the driver stays on site or comes back to collect you at the agreed time. Mention it in your request and the fare for the whole trip is given to you.
Can I work during the journey?
Yes. Quiet, comfortable vehicles, USB ports. The driver stays discreet.
How far in advance should I book a long-distance trip?
As soon as your schedule is known. For a departure in the next few hours, call: we tell you straight away what is possible.
Do you travel abroad?
Yes, anywhere in Europe on quote: Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg. The quote details the route, the return and travel expenses.
Evenings and nights
Can you pick me up at 2 am?
Yes, provided you have booked. Phone bookings are open 24/7; for a precise time late at night, book during the day rather than at the last minute.
Is the fare higher at night?
The fare depends on the route, the time and the vehicle. It is given to you before the ride and does not change. No meter, no surcharge discovered on arrival.
What if the evening runs later than planned?
Let the driver know by text message or call: he adjusts the time as far as possible. For an evening whose end you cannot predict, a driver at your disposal is often the best solution.
Do you go to Île de Ré at night?
Yes, in both directions. A ride back to a village on the island after a night out in La Rochelle is booked like any other transfer.
Tours and days out with a driver
Is the fare per person?
No, per vehicle and per duration. A van for 7 therefore works out cheaper per person than an organised tour. The fare is given before departure and includes the driver, fuel, the Île de Ré bridge toll and waiting time.
Does the driver act as a guide?
He drives, waits for you, advises you on stops and timings, and knows the region. He is not a licensed tour guide: for guided visits of monuments, he drops you at the entrance and collects you at the exit.
Can we change the programme during the day?
Yes, that is the point of having a driver at your disposal. Only the agreed duration counts; if you extend it, the driver tells you the extra amount before continuing.
What is the minimum duration?
3 hours. Beyond that, half a day, a full day or several days.
Business
Do you offer a single invoice for a company?
Yes. A dedicated contact, a monthly or per-event invoice, and drivers in suits for your staff and your guests. See MyCourse Business.
Can you transport a delegation of 40 people?
Yes, with several coordinated vans, up to 18 vehicles on a single day to date. We do not run coaches.
Do you handle private jet arrivals?
Yes, at La Rochelle Île de Ré airport and at the other business airports in the region, with the vehicle at the foot of the aircraft when the airport allows it.
Do you organise transport outside La Rochelle?
Yes, across France and Europe, thanks to our network of partner drivers: seminars, congresses, VIP transport.
